一項複雜的研究，結果卻很簡單，刊登在十分權威的期刊 Gastroenterology。這項研究的地點在冰島，藥物引起的肝傷害以ALT > 3X, Alk-P > 2X 為標準，抗生素Augmentin (amoxicillin-clavulanat) 最常見， 96個藥物性肝炎病例中，21人使用Augmentin。
Augmentin 是內科醫師在病房常用的第一線抗生素，使用超過三天，應該檢測肝功能，一週後要再驗一次。
